Founded at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), PuraStat is licenced as a medical device to achieve haemostasis and minimise delayed bleeding. There is literature that suggests PuraStat facilitates the re-epithelization of the mucosal layer, promoting healing (1-2).
PuraStat is also indicated for the reduction of delayed bleeding following gastrointestinal endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) procedures in the colon(3).
